FONTANA– Two suspects are in custody and two others remain at large following a burglary at the Farmer Boys located in the 14500 block of Slover Avenue on Monday. Officers from the Fontana station responded to the restaurant at around 1:56 p.m. to find a silver 4-door Chrysler PT Cruiser leaving the parking lot of the business.
The responding officer attempted to stop the vehicle, but the vehicle failed to yield. The vehicle drove onto the on-ramp of the eastbound I-10. The vehicle stopped shortly after while still on the on-ramp and fled on foot. One suspect, a Moreno Valley man, Bannon Grider, 19, was taken into custody as he fled from the vehicle.
The other three suspects fled into the neighborhood area near the freeway. A K-9 unit was called in to assist with the search for remaining suspects. The K-9 located an additional suspect, 18-year-old Jordon McLendon of Long Beach was located hiding in a closed business. The two suspects were booked into the West Valley Detention Center for Commercial Burglary.
Evidence linking the suspects to the burglary, and other burglaries including burglary tools and money were located. Two suspects remain at large.Anyone with information related to this case is asked to contact the Fontana Police Department at 909-350-7700.
