SAN BERNARDINO – Two women collecting funds for a burial of a small child that they both said was their child, were arrested on Sunday authorities said.
Chasity Doll, 26, a Loma Linda area transient was contacted by deputies as she panhandled on the Corner of Tippecanoe Avenue and Coulston Street in the City of San Bernardino on Sunday. Doll was arrested and booked into jail for panhandling. Just an hour later Michele Love, 41, or Yucca Valley, was found panhandling in the same area. Through investigation, authorities learned that the suspects had worked together to make signs in order to collect donations from passing motorists. The posters were requesting donations for the burial of their baby, with the baby in the photo belonging to neither of the suspects and no burial funds actually being needed.
