Two San Bernardino Men Arrested for Highland Super Mart & Gas Robbery

HIGHLAND – Two San Bernardino men were arrested for a strong arm robber at the Super Mart & Gas in Highland on Saturday morning. At around 9:45 a.m. deputies from the Highland Station arrived at 26498 Baseline Street in the City of Highland for the report of the robbery. The female victim told authorities that her purse was just snatched from her possession.

The suspect ran to an awaiting car that then left the area. Deputies were able to obtain suspect and suspect vehicle description. They were also able to review surveillance footage. Information was provided to nearby stations and just moments later the Sheriff’s Aviation spotted a vehicle with a matching description. Deputies made contact with the occupants Charles Sanford, 21, and Tyquan Lacey, 18, both of San Bernardino.

Both were positively identified during an in-field lineup and the stolen purse was recovered. Both Sanford and Lacey were arrested and booked into the West Valley Detention Center for robbery. Both are being held in lieu of $100,000 bail. Sanford was found to be on current CDC parole and was additionally booked for a probation violation.
