HESPERIA, Ca. – A married father of five was murdered by two unknown suspects in a Christmas Day shooting in the City of Hesperia.
On Friday, December 25, 2020, at around 4:46 p.m. deputies from the Hesperia station responded to Bear Valley Road and Seventh Street for the report of a man down. When they arrived they found Travon Alexis, 39, of Victorville, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Alex was transported to Desert Valley Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.
Homicide Detectives responded to the scene to conduct an investigation. Through investigation, it was learned that Alexis was near his vehicle in a liquor store parking lot located at 16061 Bear Valley Road. Two unknown males approached him. One of the suspects shot Alexis and then fled on foot. Alexis ran from his vehicle and into the roadway and collapsed.
