VICTORVILLE – A 34-year-old Victorville man was arrested for shoplifting from the 76 Station located on the northeast corner of Bear Valley and Amethyst Roads in the City of Victorville.
At around 10:42 p.m. on Thursday, March 2, 2017, a customer called Sheriff’s dispatch to report that the clerk wrote the number to the Sheriff’s Department on the back of his receipt. He said he did not know the exact reason why she wrote the number on the receipt, but he told them that there was another man in the store as he was leaving.
When deputies contacted the store clerk she reported that there was a man inside the store acting strangely. The suspect, later identified as Johnny Trimble was located inside the store allegedly attempting to steal various items. When deputies searched him, he was found to be in possession of unlawful paraphernalia and a controlled substance. He was booked into the High Desert Detention Center for possession of a controlled substance, possession of unlawful paraphernalia, and petty theft. Trimble was cited and later released from custody with a promise to appear in court.
