VICTORVILLE – Employees of the Shell gas Station located at 14689 La Paz in Victorville were zip tied and held at gunpoint during a Saturday night robbery.
At around 10:00 p.m. deputies from the Victorville station were dispatched to the store located at the intersection of La Paz and Valley Center drives. The victims told authorities that they were zip tied, forced to the back of the store, and held at gunpoint during the robbery. The male suspect demanded that they opened the cash register and fled from the store after ordering the victims to not call 911 for at least 5 minutes after he left.
A witness said that the male suspect got into a white 4-door sedan, possibly a 2010-2012 Acura TL that was parked in front of the Boost Mobile. The witness also said that the vehicle had a female in the passenger seat of the vehicle. The vehicle fled northbound on Valley Center Drive from La Paz. The suspect was only described as a White man, wearing a black sweatshirt with “So Cal” on the front, possibly a hoodie and a dark brown or black hat with “LA” on it.
Deputies on the ground with the assistance of the Sheriff’s Helicopter responded to the scene to conduct an area check. Several vehicles were stopped, but were found to be unrelated. No one was injured as a result of the incident. San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Spokeswoman Jodi Miller said that there is no suspect in custody at this time.
