COACHELLA – A 33-year-old Coachella man was arrested for crashing into a city works tractor on Friday evening authorities said.
At around 7:33 p.m. the Coachella police responded to a traffic collision on Avenue 52 and Education Way in the City of Coachella. When they arrived they learned that the driver, Salvador Celaya, was driving a 2010 Ford F-250 westbound on Avenue 52. He collided with the city works tractor, which was clearing roadway debris. The driver of the tractor sustained non-life-threatening injuries and Celaya was uninjured. Celaya was suspected to be driving under the influence and will be facing charges for felony driving under the influence causing injury.
