VICTORVILLE – Two women were arrested after a reported stabbing on Monday evening. At around 6:00 p.m. deputies from the Victorville station responded to the report of a stabbing at the Parkview Apartments located at 16250 Pebble Beach Drive in the City of Victorville.
When they arrived they learned that a woman had been stabbed as a result of a domestic dispute. According to sheriff’s officials, Netheldia Porter, 51, came home and began arguing with her wife, Tamara Jackson, 42.
“ The argument became physical,” said Victorville Sheriff’s station spokeswoman Mara Rodriguez. “At some point during the altercation, Porter reportedly choked and punched Jackson and Jackson bit Porter and stabbed her with a box cutter type knife.”
Both women gave two different accounts regarding what had occurred and both were arrested. Porter and Jackson were booked into the High Desert Detention Center; Porter for inflicting corporal injury on a spouse and threatening crime with the intent to terrorize and Jackson for assault with a deadly weapon and inflicting corporal injury on a spouse.
Both Porter and Jackson are being held in lieu of $50,000 bail and are scheduled to appear at the Victorville Superior Court on Wednesday afternoon.
