VICTORVILLE –The Subway located in the 15200 block of Hook Boulevard was robbed at gunpoint on Saturday night.
At around 10:26 p.m. two males, one with a black handgun entered the restaurant and ordered food. When they got to the register, they told the employee to take all of the money out of the register. The employees complied with the suspects request.
The suspects fled on foot, one witness said toward the apartments behind the location. Both suspects were described as black men in their 20’s.
One suspect who was carrying a black handgun. He was described as 5’6-5’9 and was wearing a black and white beanie, black sweatshirt with a number on it, black sweatpants, and black shoes. The second suspect was reported to be a black male with a lighter complexion wearing a white or light gray sweatshirt, black sweatpants, and gray shoes.
Deputies searched the area surrounding the location and were unable to locate the suspects. An area search was conducted using patrol vehicles and the Sheriff’s helicopter. Deputies interviewed witnesses including store employees. The incident remains under investigation, anyone with information should contact the Victorville Station at (760) 956-5001.
