YUCCA VALEY – An arrest was made in the stabbing murder of a man that occurred in Yucca Valley early Wednesday morning. Police were dispatched to the home in the 7600 block of Cibola Trail after dispatchers received the frantic 911 call from his girlfriend, officials said. When deputies and medical personnel arrived they found the man suffering from the fatal stab wounds. The male, whose identity remains undisclosed at this time was pronounced dead at the scene.
Deputies were able to collect a description of a suspect and suspect vehicle before leaving which led them to a male subject, who was detained for an interview Wednesday night. At 1:24 a.m. on Thursday, 40-year-old Twentynine Palms resident, Carlos Herrera was arrested and booked into the Morongo Basin jail for murder.
