Apple Valley Residents Offered “Choice” in Electricity Providers

APPLE VALLEY – Residents from the Town of Apple Valley will soon have an additional choice when it comes to an electricity provider Town officials said.
The Town has worked in conjunction with Southern California Edison to bring residents options using renewable energy including solar, wind, or geo-thermal sources. Residents will have the choice of using 35%, 50%, or going fully solar.

Those who currently are CARE customers will see an additional 13% savings through the new option, which will be available beginning April 1, 2017. In addition to CARE customers receiving additional savings, regular residential customers will see a 3% reduction to start. Those who choose the “Core Choice” will be using 35% renewable energy. Those who choose the “More Choice” option will us 50% renewable energy. The “Your Choice” plan is a good option for those who have been considering solar or other power generation system at their home or business.

The Town of Apple Valley will host a brief presentation on Tuesday, March 7th at the Apple Valley Conference Center located at 14975 Dale Evans Parkway. This informative meeting will be offered in two sessions; one at 2pm and the other at 6pm. This meeting will include time afterward for questions and answers with program directors.
