NORWALK, Calif. – Authorities are seeking any information that might help lead them to armed robbery suspects.
The robbery occurred on Tuesday, June 4, 2019, at around 9:00 p.m. Suspects walked into the Randy Donut Shop on Rosecrans Avenue and Studebaker Road. Store employees believe the suspects were three black males who jumped over the front counter. Two of the suspects went to the two cash registers and ripped them from the walls as the third pointed a silver handgun at the employee who curled up behind the counter. A second employee hid in the kitchen of the shop during the robbery.
After ripping the registers from the wall, all three suspects left the store from the rear exit and fled in a silver sedan. The vehicle left the rear parking lot of the donut shop, northbound on Studebaker Road and out of view. Approximately $400 in cash was stolen from the registers.
No injuries were reported as a result of the crime. The suspects wore blacked hooded sweatshirts and black pants. Their hoodies were pulled tightly over their heads and faces in order to conceal their identities. Authorities are reviewing surveillance footage.
The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information about this incident is encouraged to contact the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department’s Norwalk Station, Sergeant Moreno at (563) 863-8711.
