BARSTOW, Calif. – The body of a 40-year-old Baldwin Park man was located in the desert on the morning of Wednesday, January 23, 2019.
At around 9:05 a.m. electrical workers called the police to report a body in the desert area south of Elks Lane. When they arrived the reporting parties led police officers and detectives to the body. Detectives confirmed that the person was, in fact, deceased and the death was a result of foul play. Homicide Detectives assumed the investigation and the San Bernardino County Coroner took possession of the body later identified as Robert Allen Chavez.
