YUCAIPA – A 41-year-old Calimesa woman was arrested on Wednesday for the burglary of a Yucaipa home last month. On November 22, 2016, a residential burglary was reported on Sarah Street in Yucaipa. Evidence collected during the investigations led authorities to suspect, Amanda Sheeks also known as Amanda Churella.
At 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, deputies served a search warrant at the suspect’s home located at 117 E Avene in Calimesa. During the search suspected stolen property including jewelry, music instruments, and other items. Sheeks was arrested and booked into the Central Detention Center for burglary. According to arrest records, the Sheeks has since been released and is awaiting a court date. Sheeks has at least one prior theft-related conviction and has an active Grand Theft of Personal Property case from October this year.
