CATHEDRAL CITY, Calif. – A 20-year-old Cathedral City man was killed in a single-vehicle traffic collision on Sunday evening.
At around 7:39 p.m. Cathedral City Police responded to the traffic collision on Landau just south of Tacheva. Authorities said that the vehicle was traveling at a high rate of speed when it left the roadway and collided with a tree.
The driver was the only occupant in the vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene. Alcohol is believed to be a factor in the collision. The collision remains under investigation and motorists are asked to stay out of the area.
