PALMDALE, Calif. – Detectives from the Palmdale Sheriff’s Station are in need of help identifying two assault with a deadly weapon suspects.
On March 1, 2019, at around 2:10 a.m., two male suspects entered the 7-Eleven store located at 2873 E. Avenue R in the City of Palmdale to purchase beer. Suspect 1 attempted to purchase alcohol but the clerk was unable to sell it since it was after 2:00 a.m. He began yelling, spit on the clerk and then fled the location.
The second suspect went in a few minutes later, also upset about the clerk not selling the beer to his brother (suspect 1). He began kicking the store display and knocking items onto the floor. He then grabbed items off of the counter and threw them at the clerk, striking the clerk on the shoulder. THe cashier moved to the front of the counter to attempt to stop him from destroying more of the store. The suspect struck the clerk with a metal basket in the head. He continued to throw items at the cashier and grabbed the cashier by the collar and began punching him. He then left the store and left the location on a red mini pocket bike.
Anyone who recognizes the suspects should contact Detective Barjon 661-272-2546 dybarkon@lasd.org. Anyone wishing to remain anonymous should call “Crime Stoppers” by dialing 800–222-TIPS (8477).
