FONTANA – The suspect involved in a Fontana vehicle-to-vehicle road rage shooting remains at large. On Monday at around 6:53 p.m. Fontana police responded to the area of Citrus and Jurupa Avenues for the report of the shooting. The victim told authorities that he was driving westbound on Jurupa Avenue when a driver pulled up next to his vehicle and the two exchanged words.

After the quick verbal altercation, the victim turned to head southbound on Citrus Avenue. The other driver, who was reported to be driving a newer model Cadillac; possibly a CTS model pulled alongside the victim and shot multiple rounds at the victim. The suspect vehicle fled the scene and responding police were unable to locate the suspect. The victim was uninjured as a result of the shooting, but his vehicle sustained damage.

The suspect is described as a black man in his 30’s, 190-200 pounds, with a “bushy” black beard. The Fontana Police Department is asking to the public’s help in identifying the suspect.  Anyone with information related to the identity of the suspect or his vehicle is asked to call Det. Vestey at 909-350- 7717.
