SAN BERNARDINO – On Wednesday afternoon four San Bernardino residents were arrested for the possession of a stolen vehicle and operating a chop shop officials said. At around 4:30 p.m. deputies from the Central Station responded to the 6600 block of Del Rosa Avenue reference a report of suspicious activity at an abandoned house. When they arrived they located the boarded up home and made contact with four subjects who were on the side of the home concealing a vehicle with a large plastic tarp.

The four, later identified as 33-year-old Noel Ochoa, 33-year-old Raul Ayala, 28-year-old Daniel Flores, and 22-year-old Amber Saum were caught while they were apparently in the middle of stripping down a 1995 Acura, County Sheriff officials said. Through investigation, deputies learned that the four-door vehicle was stolen earlier that morning from an Applebee’s Restaurant in the City of San Bernardino. The four suspects had already stripped down a large portion of the interior and the engine.

The four suspects were detained and booked into the Central Detention Center for the possession of a stolen vehicle, chop shop, and conspiracy to commit a crime.
