HEMET, Calif. – A 19-year-old Hemet man was arrested for attempted murder and robbery authorities said.
On Monday, March 11, 2019, at around 5:30 a.m., Hemet Police and Fire personnel responded to a home in the 100 block of E. Stetson Avenue regarding a 30-year-old man being struck with a fire extinguisher. When emergency responders arrived, the found the victim unconscious and suffering from head trauma. He was transported to the hospital in critical condition.
Joseph Anzelmo, fled the scene but was followed by a witness. Police officers arrived shortly after and took Anzelmo into custody. He was booked into jail and is being held in lieu of $1 million bail. The investigation is ongoing.
