LANCASTER – A 21-year-old man was charged with secretly recording numerous women in a restroom in Lancaster. Jesus Calvario allegedly went into a restaurant restroom in the 1000 block of West Avenue I, went into the women’s restroom, hid in a stall, and with his phone, recorded women in the restroom. These acts took place between November 5, 2016, and November 13, 2016.
Prosecutors also said that Calvario also secretly recorded a female relative on November 9, 2016. Calvario now faces more than two dozen charges including 21 misdemeanor counts of unauthorized invasion of privacy, three misdemeanor counts of unauthorized invasion of privacy of an indentifiable person, and one misdemeanor count of possession of methamphetamine.
Calvario pleaded not guilty on Tuesday and is scheduled to return to the Antelope Valley Superior Court on November 29, 2016. He is being held on $100,000 and if convicted as charged he faces more than 12 years in jail.
