29 Palms – A machete-wielding suspect is at large following a robbery at the Castaneda’s restaurant in 29 Palms.
At around 3:30 a.m. on Monday, October 31, 2016, deputies responded to the report of an armed robbery in the 73000 block of Sun Valley Drive. The suspect, who was armed with a machete walked into the restaurant and behind the front counter.
While in the restaurant, he stole an undisclosed amount of case. No injuries were reported as a result of incident, but detectives are seeking the public’s help to identify the suspect.
