ORO GRANDE – A 23-year-old Oro Grande man who is believed to be responsible for a November 2016 robbery was arrested on Thursday authorities said. On November 27, 2016, a victim reported that he was approached by the suspect, later identified as Michael Mancillas. Mancillas brandished a knife and demanded the victim’s cell phone. In fear for his safety, the victim complied.
No injuries were reported as a result of the robbery. The Victor Valley station received information about the whereabout of Mancillas. The deputy contacted Mancillas was arrested and booked into the High Desert Detention Center where he is being held in lieu of $150,000 bail. He is scheduled to appear at the Victorville Superior Court on Monday afternoon.
