ADELANTO, Calif. – An improvement is coming to the City of Adelanto, but this will not come without a little sacrifice by motorists.
The widening of US-395 has been planned for years and is set to begin on Phase 1 on Monday, June 3, 2019. In order to cause the least impact for motorists the work will take place from 9:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. This work will impact all lanes between Palmdale Road in the City of Victorville to Chamberlain Way in the City of Adelanto. One lane will remain open in each direction and flaggers will direct traffic. The work will continue until June 5, 2019. Motorists are encouraged to use alternative routes whenever possible and plan ahead for delays during the overnight hours.
From June 3rd to June 5th, crews will be paving and grinding along the 5-mile corridor. When complete, the two-lane highway will be a four-lane highway. In addition, turn lanes and signals will be installed.
