RANCHO CUCAMONGA – A 48-year-old man has been missing for over a week now causing major concern for his family. On July 19, 2016, at around 3:46 p.m. deputies from the Rancho Cucamonga station responded to a home on the 6500 block of Ash Avenue to take a missing person report.
The family of Jay Ishimoto said that he packed a bag and left the home on July 18th at around 7:00 p.m. Ishimoto told his family that he was driving to Las Vegas Nevada and would be traveling through Barstow on his way. He left in his gray 2014 Toyota Prius that has damage to the rear bumper and California license plate number 7FBE852.
Ishimoto is a Japanese man, standing 5’3 and weighing around 173 pounds. He has gray hair, brown eyes and has difficulty walking due to a recent knee surgery. His family is concerned that he may need medical treatment or may even want to harm himself based on statements family said he made prior to his departure.
The Rancho Cucamonga Police need the help of the public to help them locate Ishimoto.
