HIGHLAND – A 20-year-old San Bernardino man was arrested for impersonating a Police officer authorities said. On Thursday, April 27, 2017, at around 5:50 p.m. deputies began investigating a report of a 2005 silver BMW 535 attempting to stop a vehicle near Baseline Street and Del Rosa in the City of Highland.
The suspect, later identified as Ronnie Gunn used a blue and amber-colored LED strobe light. The caller described the light as being mounted inside the windshield on the passenger sun visor. Deputies quickly located the vehicle using the detailed suspect vehicle description.
Gunn was booked into the Central Detention Center for Impersonating a Police Officer and was later cite released. The light used in the attempt to make a stop was seized as evidence.
Highland Station Investigators are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying any other witnesses or victim’s of this crime. Those citizens are encouraged to contact the Highland Police Department (909) 425-9793
