SAN BERNARDINO – A San Bernardino man was arrested on Tuesday for sending nude photos of himself and other harmful materials to a 12-year-old girl. The investigation began at the end of June when the victim’s mother reported the inappropriate communication between 30-year-old Paul Michael Madison and her daughter to the Denton, Texas police department.
Through investigation, authorities learned the Madison met the child while playing Game of War online. The victim told police that the two were communicating via text messages and began an online relationship. When her mother found the pictures and messages they were immediately reported to the police.
Detectives from the Twin Peaks Station assumed the investigation but learned that Madison who recently lived in Running Springs moved to San Bernardino. A search warrant was obtained and executed at Madison’s home in the 100 block of North Sierra Way in the City of San Bernardino.
Following the search, where deputies seized Madison’s computers and cell phones, Madison was detained and transported to the Central Sheriff’s Station. He was then booked into the West Valley Detention Center for distributing harmful matter to a minor and is being held in lieu of $25,000 bail. He is scheduled to appear at the San Bernardino Superior Court the morning of Friday, September 2nd, 2016.
Detectives believe there may be other victims who have experienced similar situations with Madison. If you have been victimized by Madison, or have any information about this case, you are encouraged to contact Detective Michelle Brand at the Twin Peaks Sheriff’s Station at (909) 336-0600 to report it.
