BAKERSFIELD, Calif. – A 3 ounce baby Opossum was rescued by a Bakersfield Animal Control officer last week.
After receiving a call about the tiny critter, Animal Control Officer Drake Pritchett responded to a call.
“ With his trained eye and big heart ACO Pritchett was able to rescue the little fella now named Ashe,” Bakersfield Police said. “Ashe has been transferred to a wildlife rehab center and will live his life out as an educational Opossum Ambassador.”
