Victorville Home Explodes Cause Unknown

VICTORVILLE – A 32-year-old Victorville man lost his life in a traffic collision on Saturday. Richard Ryan Rosas was riding his black 2016 Harley Davidson “72” westbound on Nisqualli Road west of Cypress Avenue just before 3:00 a.m. when he slammed into the back of a westbound traveling truck.

Through investigation, it was learned that the truck was driving in the center turn lane of Nisqualli Road and was merging into the #1 westbound lane. The motorcycle, driven by Rosas was in the #1 lane of traffic. As the truck merged from the center turn lane to the #1 lane the motorcycle collided into the back.

The uninjured driver of the yellow 2005 Dodge Ram truck quickly stopped his vehicle to tend to the rider, who he said was immediately unresponsive and not breathing. Deputies from the Victorville Station and emergency medical personnel rushed to the scene. Rosas was pronounced deceased as a result of his injuries at 3:15 a.m.

Nisqualli Road was shut down in both directions from Cypress Avenue to Sunwood Drive for the collision investigation.
