INDIO, Calif. – Two Indio residents were arrested for mail theft, forgery, check fraud, burglary, and probation violation on Wednesday.
An investigation by the U.S. Postal Service and La Quinta Police Special Enforcement Team led to the search of a home in the 83-000 block of Garden Avenue. Several stolen items and equipment were found inside the home. Arturo Sanchez and Jacqueline Lechuga, both indio residents were arrested; Sanchez for check fraud, forgery, mail theft, burglary, and violation of probation and Lechuga for conspiracy.
