HIGHLAND – A 23-year-old Highland man was shot and killed Wednesday night authorities said. At around 11:30 p.m. deputies responded to 911 calls reporting a shooting in the 7700 block of Golondrina Drive in the City of San Bernardino. When they arrived they found Jorge Moises Grimaldo was found suffering from a gunshot wound to the upper body.
Grimaldo was rushed to Loma Linda University Medical Center where despite life-saving efforts he was pronounced dead. Homicide investigators responded to conduct the investigation. No suspects have been identified, investigators are searching for witnesses and are processing the scene for evidence.
Jorge Grimaldo Sr. reached out to his Facebook friends on Thursday morning requesting information on how to gain permission to enter the United States from Mexico temporarily. “I want to be there for his burial I have no knowledge on how to go about doing [any] kind of permit,” Grimaldo Sr. posted. “Regarding this permit, I’m a hard working person here in Mexico. I’m not looking for a way to cross for work nor live there.”
