BAKER – An approximately 30-year-old man was airlifted after being ejected in a collision on the 15 freeway south just north of Baker Sunday morning.
At around 7:07 a.m. the CHP and the San Bernardino County Fire Department medics were dispatched to a major injury single-vehicle traffic collision.
Prior to arrival, an off-duty paramedic arrived on scene to find the patient who was flung out of the vehicle into a ditch during the collision. The off-duty paramedic told dispatchers that the patient was not alert.
The patient was airlifted to University Medical Center Southern Nevada with serious injuries. The cause of the collision remains under investigation by the California Highway Patrol.
