RIVERSIDE, Calif. – Riverside Police responded to a report of a dog locked inside of a car with the windows only cracked open in front of the courthouse on Tuesday.
When they arrived at around 10:30 a.m., hey could see that the dog appeared to be in distress so they broke a window out of the vehicle. The dog was rescued from the hot vehicle. The temperature outside was 89 degrees, but inside the vehicle it was 106.5 degrees.
The dog was taken to the animal shelter and checked out by a vet. The dogs owner may face charges.
