YUCAIPA – A 20-year-old Yucaipa man was arrested following a minor injury DUI traffic collision on Wednesday afternoon. At around 2:50 p.m. deputies from the Yucaipa station responded to traffic collision on Oak Glen Road east of Bryant Street. Anthony Christian Ramirez was driving his neighbor’s 2001 Ford Pickup west on Oak Glen when he made a left-hand turn across the road into the path of a 2007 Toyota van.
The driver of the van, a 37-year-old Yucaipa woman was transported to the hospital with minor injuries. Ramirez was learned to be unlicensed, and was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence authorities said, He was transported to the Central Detention Center and booked for driving under the influence resulting in bodily injury. He is being held in lieu of $100,000 bail and is scheduled to appear at the San Bernardino Superior Court on November 29th.
