HEMET, Calif. – Hemet Police arrested the suspect who entered a home that was being fumigated.
On Wednesday, April 24, 2019, the Hemet Police released video of the suspect as he destroyed the home’s doorbell camera. The suspect, now identified as Kevin Hughes, 53, of Hemet, did not realize that when he broke the camera the footage remained in the cloud. The attention brought to the photo, led Hemet Police Investigator to the City of Los Angeles where Hughes was arrested on April 28, 2019. Most of the stolen property was collected, police said.
He was booked into jail for burglary, conspiracy, and violation of probation for an unrelated prescription forgery conviction.
