PALMDALE, Ca. – The noncustodial mother of two small children was arrested just as she was about to board a plane with the children on Saturday.
The mother who has family in Arizona was at the Burbank Airport with the two children, just moments from boarding a plane to Arizona when deputies made contact with her. Authorities said that the woman who had lost custody of her children, kidnapped them from their foster mother during a visitation at a Palmdale fast food restaurant. The mother was seen in an SUV when fleeing with the 2 and 6-year-old children. The foster mother called 911 to report the kidnapping and the information was broadcasted in an attempt to locate them.
Through investigation it was determined that she was at the Burbank Airport. Airport Police were contacted and were able to arrest her and return the children to where they belong.
